We love a new app – and especially one that is going to make life easier or enable you to get more creative!
Here are a few of the social media apps that have caught our attention and that may help you and your business marketing as we head into 2018.
As social video increases (and increases and increases – video is going nowhere!) and more people are looking to share video content going forward, Adobe Premiere Clip is one app that will be worth looking at. This app can be used on both Android or iOS.
It’s an easy to use platform but is advanced in its ways and its features include editing capabilities, customer lighting and soundtrack support plus lots more. Turn the clips you shoot with your Android or iOS device into videos that look and sound incredible. You can share them on your favorite social channels, or sync them to Adobe Creative Cloud to take them further in Premiere Pro CC.
Another free app, Planoly is a great tool when it comes to your visuals and it’s the first visual planner for Instagram. Nothing says it better than a creative, inspiring picture but using Planoly will allow you to plan your branded look and how grids look before actually posting to Instagram. It will also give you the option to see data and engagement rates for each post. Beautifully crafted to be simple, clean and easy to use, Planoly is the most effective visual social media planner on the market.
Hootsuite Amplify makes it easy for your employees to safely share your content – extending your social reach. Your customers want to talk to a person, not your brand and therefore it’s important to establish a relationship with your customers on this basis. Using Hootsuite Amplify you can source and share news, articles, and other engaging content about your brand across your social networks.
Another great aspect to this app is that you can create preapproved content for your organisation to share, so that messaging is accurate, clear, and on-brand.
Available just on iOS, this free app lets users create and share short videos complete with special effects, text, graphics, and more. This is great if you want to capture a moment. Just hold the record button to capture video on the spot, or grab a video clip or photo from your library. You can also jazz your content up and add your personality by giving your videos a comic book look, adding emoji, or applying animated stickers. This is a fun and creative way to share content across your social media channels!
Although this is not necessarily the ‘social media apps’ category, we thought we’d include it as it’s a good platform to hear about. Botletter allows you to send newsletters via Facebook Messenger – a simple solution for outreach on Facebook Messenger. Basically this is Mailchimp for Messenger! You can say goodbye to low open rates as Botletter has an average 80% open rate, not bad going if you’ve got an audience you want to reach out to.
Botletter also gives the option to send drip campaigns out to any new subscriber, allowing for scheduling and analytics.
We’d love to hear your stories of how you’ve got on with using these great free social media apps. If you’d like help in sharing your social media content for your business, then get in touch!
