South Coast Social Hits The Skies!

Supporting a local charity is all part of the business plan at South Coast Social and is extremely important to Director, Clare Groombridge. This year, their chosen charity is Dorset and Wiltshire based children’s charity, Julia’s House.

Over a team lunch in Bournemouth, and putting their heads together, the team came up with a few initiatives in which they will be able to raise funds for the charity at a corporate level and engage fellow clients and partners to get involved.

Options were discussed including the Bournemouth 10k run in October, along with perhaps one of the Account Managers completing a sponsored skydive. However much to Clare’s surprise, the consensus was to throw the boss out of a plane instead!

So as part of the Julia’s House Corporate Challenge 2018, South Coast Social will be heading to the airfield on Friday 15th June to support Clare in her skydive in aid of this amazing charity.

The idea behind the Julia’s House ‘£50 Corporate Challenge’ is to give local businesses £50 to see how they can make that grow and to make as much money as possible for the charity! This can be in any form, from hosting an event, selling stock to being slightly more adventurous which is where the skydive thoughts came from.

Having the backing of clients, along with family and friends of Clare, it will prove to be a great event and will be giving back to the community where the team want to make a difference. All the costs of the skydive have been met by South Coast Social and any funds raised on the day will go directly to Julia’s House.

“Whatever you can afford – it WILL make a difference and we want to prove that a small business can make a huge difference. Plus we also would love to win the challenge!” – Clare Groombridge
