Facebook’s experimental NPE – or ‘New Product Experimentation’ – team has begun initial testing of its latest project, a video speed dating app called ‘Sparked‘ which will enable users to hold 4-minute video chats with potential matches in order to better decide on their suitability before moving forward.
Google’s parent company Alphabet released YouTube advertising revenue figures this week for the first time ever. Bringing in over $15 billion, YouTube’s ad sales rose 31% year-on-year in the last three months of 2019 and accounted for almost 10% of their overall revenue. (Source: BBC News)
