The clocks have officially gone forward and the days are getting longer, which can only mean one thing – April is here! 😍… So with the recent easing of national restrictions and the sense of brighter days ahead, what are the national holidays coming up that we can look forward to? Use your social media platforms to inspire your followers, with the following key dates… 🎉
What more fun do you need than playing a light prank on your followers for April Fools Day on April 1st! Try announcing some fun, business related false news or create some engaging stories asking your followers what pranks they played on their friends and family. Don’t forget to keep it clean and confess to your prank by the end of the day! 🤡… April is all about the Easter holidays for a lot of people, so make sure you schedule your Happy Easter posts ahead of the long Easter weekend with Good Friday (2nd), Easter Sunday (4th) 🐣 & Easter Monday (5th) kicking off the month.
Dig out your favourite tartan number as National Tartan Day (6th) follows the Easter weekend, with World Health Day (7th), Unicorn Day (8th) 🦄 and Siblings Day (10th) completing the first full week of April. Week two highlights include Pet Day (11th) 😸, Scrabble Day (13th), Dolphin Day (14th) 🐬 and Wear Your Pyjamas to Work Day (16th). While many of us have been living in our PJs throughout lockdown, this may not feel too different to any other day! But would you dare head into the office in yours? 🤭
A few more of our favourites of the month include National Tea Day (21st) ☕️, Earth Day (22nd) 🌍, Get Organised Day (26th) and World Wish Day (29th) 💭. If you could have any wish granted, what would it be?
Like every month, April gives us plenty of opportunities to get creative and have fun with our socials. So whatever day you wish to celebrate, have a creative month and a very Happy Easter!
If you’ve got some exciting content ideas for any of these dates, why not write them down in your diary or add them to your phone calendar?
You could also forward our Social Media Calendar to a friend or colleague so that you can plan some cool content together!
(Tip: make sure you include any associated hashtags or tag in the organisers if you can! They’re likely to comment on, like or share your post which will increase its reach.)
We’ll be sharing these every month so you can make it part of your social media plan, but our team of experts are always on hand if you’d like to chat about any aspect of your social media – be it strategy, training, advertising or social media management.april calendar, calendar, content, content calendar, social media, social media calendar, social media holidays
